Chris Modoo is a seasoned authority in classic menswear, whose career began on the shopfloor at Selfridges, selling shirts and ties. His flair for style swiftly moved him into management, eventually taking on roles in buying and design. He has since worked with some of the most distinguished names in the industry, including Thomas Pink, Ede & Ravenscroft and Chester Barrie.

 

In 2017, Chris launched Urbane Outfitter Ltd, a consultancy providing design, editorial and creative direction. He was dubbed the “Sartorial Guru” by The Rake magazine, for whom he has written extensively and curated editorial photoshoots. Chris’s expertise extends beyond styling. His understanding of heritage tailoring and modern aesthetics has helped shape the interpretations of classic pieces – ensuring they resonate with today’s discerning clients. His work continues to inspire both brands and consumers, making him a trusted voice in the fashion community. Currently, Chris serves as the resident style expert for luxury online retailer Rampley & Co.
